They might be if they are just using fruits. Fruit contains a natural sugar and people naturally add more to their smoothier to make them taste better. Not only does it have more sugar, but it can contain more calories – depending on what else you add to the drink.
An alternative to the fruit smoothies is to start making plant-based smoothies instead. When people add vegetables like spinach, cucumbers and kale they are adding a low-sugar alternative.

Need some ideas on how to use this content? One simple way would be to combine a couple of the articles and make a long article or an ultimate post.
When I was doing research yesterday I noticed that Morning was a subniche for Plant-Based Smoothies.
So I’d take a couple of the articles make it a really great and informational article for people who want to have smoothies in the morning. Think about what they’ll want or need to know. If I was reading something like that I wouldn’t care about the benefit or smoothie bowls…at least not for this specific article. I’d want to know make ahead ideas, how to make one or components to add. Things that are specific for making them in the morning. Based on this here are the two articles I’d start with.
- Plant-Based Smoothies For the Morning
- 5 Simple Make-Ahead Smoothie Packs
If you want to make it longer you could add:
- Main Components to Change For a Plant-Based Smoothie
- How to Make a Plant-Based Protein Smoothie
- Ways to Add More Protein to Your Smoothies
- Ingredients For a Green Plant-Based Smoothie
- Nutrient-Packed Vegan Smoothie Recipes
The awesome thing about PLR is that if you only want one paragraph out of each of these or you want to move them around to fit your article – you can.
Then when you’re done you could combine them into a report and offer it at the end for their email address or you could provide them a content upgrade with a list of ingredients they could try or a few recipes they might like.
Since this is such a popular topic on Pinterest I’d also make a great Pin and start pinning.
You could also include a few Smoothie Recipe Books off Amazon or another affiliate program and earn commissions. There are tons of small appliances you could promote or suggest as well like blenders, portable cups, straws and so much more.
Don’t forget that you’ll get everything above as well as the bonus articles that are at the bottom. They are all about the plant based diet.
